He Did Awesome

Jackson got tubes in his ears today, and he did great!  He was in a good mood while we were in pre-op.  As soon as the nurse would put something on him, he would take it off.  The tubes were the most tempting.  He kept grabbing at them.  He was a little grouchy when he woke up from the anesthesia.  When we got home, he took a nap and since then he is completely back to normal.  You would never know he had a minor surgery today.  I am proud of him!  


It was scary and sad sending him back with the nurse, but I knew God was in control.  Thank you to everyone who prayed for him.  I really do appreciate knowing people will pray when I ask.  Here are some pictures of Jackson's day:

On another note, this moose was outside our house yesterday.  It was a little one.  It was eating our neighbors flowers.  This is the first time we have seen one on our street.  This morning, on our way home from the hospital, there was another one outside our neighborhood.  

Well We're Getting Tubes

We went to the doctor today, and Jackson is getting tubes.  I guess seven ear infections in his short ten month life is enough.  Hopefully, I won't have to see as much of this...

 And I will get to see more of this...

He will have the procedure Wednesday.  We would appreciate your prayers!


On another note, the weather here was AMAZING today!  I think it might have even topped 70 degrees.  Our house was so hot!  It is weird to not have an air conditioner in our house.  It has been interesting to see how your body adjusts to the environment around you.  Two weeks ago, I would have loved 70 degrees while I was in Oklahoma, but today 70 was hot.  Our average summer day ranges from mid 50s to mid 60s.  I thought I would miss the hot weather, but I don't.  I have loved the Alaskan summer weather!

I'm Going to Try Blogging...

I've given into peer pressure, but I'm not sure this is a bad thing. I'm going to try blogging.  Why?  It just looks like fun.  


Honestly, we live in a great place that I want to share with everyone, and I have a kid who does cute things (at least I think he does)!  Isn't he cute!!!

I am sure enjoying this Alaskan summer.  I feel for you guys enduring the heat in Oklahoma and Texas while I'm enduring the 60 degree weather here.  It's hard let me tell you. 

I'm still in awe of where we live.  Every time I leave my house I see stunning mountains all around.  I don't think that will ever get old. The beautiful wild flowers blooming everywhere too!  They are purple (my favorite).  I will try to get some pictures.  God was so creative when He made the world.
